Charles (he/him) is originally from Southern California.
His love for the arts has taken him from high school
show-choir, to pursuing a BFA in Acting from UC Santa Barbara,
to spending a year as an apprentice with Portland Playhouse. As an
artist who wears a number of hats (Actor, Director, Producer, Teacher),
he’s worked with various theatre companies over the years including
Portland Center Stage, Many Hats Collaboration, Third Rail Repertory Theatre,
Fuse Theatre Ensemble, Confrontation Theatre, and Portland Playhouse -
where he is currently in the role of Producing Director.
Charles also loves to work with students in theatre & arts education,
and is a huge advocate for nuanced representation for marginalized
communities at all levels of our industry. For him, art is so much more
than just entertainment. It is a powerful gift that he hopes will
change our perspectives, our lives, and our world.
